The Mayor of Swakopmund is at the centre of the system of governance. The Mayor takes collective decisions in consultation with Councillors, the Chief Executive Officer, departmental heads, citizens, staff, and other stakeholders.
Her Worship the Mayor
Her Worship Councillor Eugenia Salomon is the Deputy Mayor of Swakopmund and a committed public servant with a strong passion for community development and social progress. She previously served as Treasurer of the SWAPO Party Women’s Council, where she was responsible for financial oversight and accountability. She is currently employed at the Ministry of Health and Social Services, contributing to public health and community well-being. As Deputy Mayor, Councillor Salomon is guided by integrity, responsibility, and service excellence, and continues to advocate for inclusive development and improved quality of life for all residents of Swakopmund.
