The Municipality Nursery is part of the Parks and Garden section that is responsible for propagating and producing plants, trees etc. for the various gardens in our town. We also sell a variety of plant species to the public at affordable prices and offer deliveries in town at a minimum price. The nursery also produces its own organic compost that is collected from the garden around town. All leaves, grass clippings and manure from our sewerage works are also milled to enrich the poor soil in the coast with much needed minerals.

Public Education:

A Bonsai workshop is offered at the nursery once a year at no cost to the public. The aim of the workshop is to educate the public about the care of various plant species. The Bonsai club advertises this training publicly and everyone is invited for the training. Booklets containing all species of indigenous Namib plants are also available at the Nursery upon request.
